With this new series, Abstraction series 2, I have been exploring the point on the path between abstract and reality. When I start with a painting it is as abstract as it can be - a blank canvas - with every stroke walking the line towards realism. And then with photography I start with realism and walk the path towards abstraction, to the point where reality is hidden and the image pretends to be something else.
